first_imgDepartment:Systems and Security    Requested Start Date:June 2, 2021Normal Work Schedule:8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – FridayJob Summary:The Systems and Security Specialist is responsible for providingIT Security support and support the maintenance/administration ofservers/systems on the JSU network. The person in this positionwill work closely with and may be supervised by a senior systemsadministrator or senior personnel. The person in this position willbe familiar with several operating systems, virtualizationtechnologies, TCP/IP networking concepts, and must be able toadminister several servers of differing function. The person inthis position may specialize in a certain area based on need, i.e.General IT security or E-Commerce Security, Hardware, OS,Networking, etc.Essential Functions:·         Identifydepartments/entities on campus involved in credit card processingand assists with technical/security procedures and policy.·         Development of security training modules within UniversitySecurity Training Portal.·          Assistin the development and maintenance of the Campus IT SecurityPolicy·          Assistsin system administration tasks on varying operating systemsincluding Microsoft and Linux platforms.·          Developsprograms and/or scripts to assist in the automation of systemadministration or other tasks.·         Maintains policies related to Payment Card Industry (PCI)Compliance and verifies policies/procedures of otherdepartments/entities are reviewed and updated as needed.·          Assistin applying IT security to University systems. ·         Performs otherduties as assigned.Required Minimum Qualifications:·         Bachelor’s inComputer Science/MIS, Engineering, or related technical degree·         Two (2) yearsof relevant experienceRequired Documents:1.      Cover Letter2.      Resume3.      TranscriptClery Notice: In compliance with the JeanneClery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime StatisticsAct,  https://clerycenter.org/policy-resources/the-clery-act/the Jacksonville State University Police provide information oncrimes statistics, crime prevention, law enforcement, crimereporting, and other related issues for the past three calendaryears.
